1OVERVIEW – In support of the Ericsson Racing Team, the Volvo Ocean Race UK stopover in Portsmouth provides Ericsson with a unique opportunity to host an external presentation programme for customers, VIPs, staff and media. Key customers from BT, Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile and O2 were invited to attend the prestigious Ericsson Technology Pavillion for the event.

2 BRIEF – Ericsson needed a slick, content-rich presentation to inform, educate and inspire its customers. The objective was to create a lasting, positive and memorable impression of the Ericsson brand and exclusive VOR experience. The second part of the brief was to produce accompanying communication pieces to advertise and support the event build up as well as an Ericsson VOR staff day.

3  CREATIVE – Central to the creative was the need to distill down a large amount of information from different sources and to promote a key message about business partnerships. Concepts evolved using the livery of the Ericsson racing boat as the central theme incorporating sail shapes, illustrations, photography and other nautical imagery with the ‘One Team – One Ericsson’ tagline.

4 PRODUCTION – Beginning with a powerful 3 minute audio-visual opening using action footage of the Racing Team in the VOR, we created an engaging introduction leading into the speakers’ presentations. The visual impact of each section was heightened with design and animation, strengthening the speakers’ delivery and message and ultimately the audience attention and participation.
